The Kasunmus: Traditional Wedding

On September 5, 2015, we did our Traditional Nigerian Wedding. Traditional Yoruba Wedding to be exact. At first, Ola and I didn't care to have one because it'll cost more money, but our parents were not having it. Looking back now, I'm so glad we did it. I'm so glad we were able to experience and share our culture with everyone that attended.

Loved our cake. The dolls are supposed to represent me and Ola. Told the chef exactly what we want and she executed it.

For the Nigerian traditional wedding, the bride's family gives the grooms family a list of items to bring to the ceremony. Above is some of the items Ola's family brought.

Love Everything about this Guy.

Ola's family making their entrance.

My Mommy.. :)

When Ola and his friends entered, they had to prostrate and greet my family

Ola with my family. My brother represented my dad.

Ola's uncle represented his dad.

My entrance... :D

A mother's blessing

Ola's family praying for me

Not sure what this represents in my culture, but I had to put Ola's hat on his head and then he picked me up.
