Ye + Ola: Engagement Session

Hi Guys!!!!!!!! How are you all doing? I've missed blogging so much and sharing sewing and 'what I wore' posts with you all. But I'm slowly coming back to my normal routine now that wedding planning is OVER!!!! Yeap, WE GOT HITCHED!!!!

If you follow me on instagram (@SewUrbane), you would have seen some pictures from our 3 day wedding extravaganza. We had sew much fun and felt so loved.. People came from all over the country and even Nigeria to celebrate with us. We are so blessed to have such amazing people around us. This was definitely an event that everyone will remember for a very long time. You can also view some of the wedding picture by checking out #YeOla2015 on Instagram.

While we're waiting on the professional wedding pictures, I wanted to share the pictures from our engagement session with you guys. The pictures were of course taken by my most talented photographer brother, Tunji Sarumi of Tunji Studio. My brother is not only talented in photography, he always has a vision for every shoot he does. After Ola and I got engaged, my brother shared his EPIC vision for our engagement session with us and called it "The Epic Shoot".. We of course loved it and started researching how and where to get an EPIC gown.

My friend ended up introducing me to this amazing designer in Maryland named, Joanna "Zoe" Arku. I explained my vision to Joanna and how I wanted a dramatic dress (big sleeve, long train, and fitted), and she didn't disappoint. And guess what? She made it within a week!! Yep, ONE WEEK!!

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the pictures, see below for links to who and what we wore.

We used this picture for our 'Save-the-dates'
