Pattern Review: Vogue Pattern 8930

Hi Everyone!! Hope you had a wonderful weekend. The weather in Maryland was absolutely beautiful.. Hubs and I spent Saturday in Baltimore, got my hair done, and went to watch Disney on Ice with my niece and nephew. It was pretty cool being reminded of all the Disney movies I watched growing up, especially the Lion King.

Moving on to the wrap jacket... This was my submission for the Pretty Girls Sew Sew-Along for October.. Between getting married in September, honeymoon, and my business, I didn't think I was going to have time to participate in the sew-along.. but I went ahead and ordered the fabric anyway just in case. At the very last minute (2 days ago) I dropped everything else I was doing and made the jacket.. It didn't take long at all. I absolutely love the fabric I chose. I was actually looking for a Marsala colored fabric but came across this beautiful Dark Mauve Solid Knit at Mood Fabrics.

I love this jacket, it's so comfortable and stylish. I felt so Olivia Pope-ish wearing it. ;) More details about the pattern below.

PATTERN REVIEW: V8930

Pattern Description: Very loose-fitting, wrap jacket has front extending into collar, and narrow hem. Single-layer, wrong side shows, and inside/outside pockets.

Pattern Sizing: I cut out View A; Pattern Size XS

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the website once you were done sewing with it? Yes, it does.

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, extremely easy. It was pretty straight forward. I sewed the whole Jacket in one sitting. This view is perfect for beginner sewers.

What did you particularly like about the pattern? I love that the seams are all top-stitched, it gave it a clean look.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I didn't make any changes.

Would you sew it again? Yes, I'd like to make the lined version.
