Velvet Jacquard

8.30.2018

PATTERN REVIEW: MCCALL'S PATTERN 7047

PATTERN REVIEW: M7047

Pattern Description: Lined, pullover dresses with or without peplum have close-fitting bodice, back neckline, skirt (fitted through hips) and sleeve variations, and elasticized waist.

Pattern Sizing: I cut out a Size 14 and altered it to fit my body.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern once you were done sewing with it? Yes, I believe so.

Were the instructions easy to follow? Absolutely, pretty straight forward.

What did you particularly like about the pattern? It was a quick and easy make, with no zipper. I love the cowl neckline and the fact that you can mix and match the pattern to make a style that suits you.

Fabric Used: Rose Velvet Jacquard, from Joann's

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:  I made view D and added the sleeves and peplum from view C. I also added some curves to the skirt so it can be more fitted. And lastly I took about 2-3 inches off the train.

Would you sew it again? Yes, most definitely.. Might use black sequins fabric next time.

Would you recommend it to others? Yes, it's easy to make.

Where did you wear it to? Wore it to a wedding in Tennessee. Received lots of compliments. :)

I Appreciate YOU for Stopping by..

xo, Ye

The Kasunmus: First Look

9.06.2016

Do You Know What Today is? It's OUR ANNIVERSARY, ANNIVERSARY! Yaaaaassss.. It's Officially Our 1 Year Anniversary and I Am Super Pumped Right Now. On 9.6.15, I married my king. One of my best friends asked me how I would describe our first year marriage.. and I really couldn't put it into words, so I said Exciting.  It has been an amazing year (we thank God)... One thing I think we learned this year is how to really work as a team and support each other. I thank God for our first year of married and pray we celebrate many many many more in Jesus name. Amen!

In the pictures below, I'm sharing Our First Look.. First looks are when the bride and the groom see each other before the church ceremony. Ola and I decided to do a first look and even take pictures before the ceremony so that we can save time and also take our time with pictures. Nigerian wedding ceremonies sometimes takes longer than planned, which leaves less time for pictures after.
