Hi Loves! Happy New Month!! I can't believe it's already October. Anyway, I made this guipure lace skirt for the Pretty Girls Sew September Sew-Along. I almost didn't participate because September was pretty busy for me. But last minute, I found this beautiful Emerald Guipure Lace and decided to use it for the sew-along. If you've never participated in the sew-alongs, you should join us. It's pretty fun and it's a learning experience. And Pretty Girls Sew shares your finished look on all of the social media accounts.

ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
On October 1st, we (PGS) released our first issue of the PRETTY GIRLS SEW MAGAZINE. The magazine is filled with everything we thought you, our PGS Family, would love! It features sewing tips, tricks, amazing DIY tutorials, and fashion finds and forecasts! This is just the tip of the needle, there will be another issue released in January for purchase, double this size! We hope you enjoy, and we thank you for your continued support! Stay tuned for an opportunity to get a printed version!

...view PGS Magazine HERE or HERE. Enjoy!

Pattern Review (NL6290)

Pattern Description: A pencil skirt with lace overlay.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Not at all.. My fabric is different. ;)

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes! Perfect for beginners.

Fabric Used: BBF Stretched Satin by Lauren Hancock (Beautiful Fine Fabric) and Guipure Lace

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I didn't make any changes, but I should have made the skirt longer, below knee. Maybe next time.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I'll definitely sew it again and again. And I think it's a great wardrobe builder. Everyone should have a lace skirt in their closet. They're perfect for dinner dates or a night out with friends.
