Tank + Navy

"always be the leading lady in your own life.."

Happy Thursday!
Hope you guys are having a productive week. It's been a busy week for me and I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday.

Here's a recap of what I did last weekend... One of my friends had a bridal shower on Saturday and the guests were asked to wear an all white outfit. Long story short (kinda), since I was busy with other things, I didn't have a chance to sew something to wear. So, I went on a hunt to find the perfect white dress (as always, I waited till the last minute.). After searching two of the biggest malls in the DMV, The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City and Arundel Mills, I came up empty handed. Not that I couldn't find a white dress, I did; but every time I see one, I think to myself, "I can make this. There's no way I'm paying for something I can make." Lol The Sewist Struggle.. Anyway, I ended up going home without a white dress and looked through my closet again. I ended up finding a dress I purchased from a boutique called Posh Nouveau, 3 years ago. Smh. All this time I could have just shopped my own closet and save myself time. I posted the dress I wore on my instagram page (@SewUrbane).

Here is what I wore (ootd) while running errands and around the mall last Saturday. I pre-ordered this tank from Pretty Girls Sew a couple of months ago. The tanks are no longer available but there are other items in our online store.

Excuse me while I pick my fro..

Guys vs Girls pose.. Guys point at who knows what and Girls look down at.... I have no idea.
