What I Wore: Aunt's Birthday/Wedding Anniversary

Happy Monday Loves! Hope you guys had a great weekend. Mine was really good. I thank God. Went to church on Friday, Auntie's Birthday/Wedding Anniversary on Saturday, Church and Fabric shopping on Sunday. :)

For my Aunt's event, I chose to make Butterick Pattern 5919 (b5919). It's a fully lined dress that has a fitted bodice with side front and side back seams. I combined view B (skirt) and view C (bodice). It also has a back button and zipper closure. Since I love pockets so much, I added them.

My Aunt's event started with a thanksgiving celebration at church and then continued at her and my uncle's home. So because we were going to be in church first, I decided that I wanted a modest look. Something clean, classy, sophisticated, and not too tight!!. lol Below is what I came up with.. (bonus pics with my Mom and Aunt below). I used ankara fabric that I purchased from a local African Fabric store.
