F L O R A L S
Theme: F L O R A L S
There were no patterns used for this skirt.. It's a skirt I've made a million times. But if you'd like to make your own, Tab from Cheap But Chic did a nice and easy to follow tutorial for Pretty Girls Sew. I have posted the tutorial below for your convenience.
As soon as the Sew-Along challenge was announced, I knew that I want to use a Ankara fabric. I searched a few online store but all the Ankara fabric I came across didn't look "spring-like". Then I came across this gorgeous floral print Ankara fabric on All Things African's website and I knew I had to get it.
While cutting the fabric, I had an idea of cutting out the flowers on the fabric and doing something with it. I really wasn't sure exactly where I wanted to place it but I knew I wanted it to look like a bouquet.
I ended up using it as an appliqué and hand sewing it to the left shoulder of my sweater. I wore my outfit to church and then to the Bi-Annual Saturday Stitchers Sew-Ciety Luncheon and Fashion Show (Awesome Event).

DeleteWhelp, I'm a fan. I'm a fairly new sewer, but I love it. This skirt is right up my alley & full and fabulous. You did a great job and added pockets really make it pop.
