DIY Watercolor Jumpsuit
This past weekend, I had the chance to attend my first DC Fashion Week event, thanks to "TheMan" at Olumaechi.com. We attended the Metropolitan Emerging Designers & Indie Artists Showcase and had the opportunity to see some great designers showcase their talents. Some of my favorites were Ranti Exclusive, Seamless Fashions, & Prima Rouge.
Since this was my first fashion week, I wasn't sure what to wear so I decided to make something. I knew that making something would probably be a great idea and that it would be a great conversation piece. I've been wanting to make a jumpsuit all summer, so I used this opportunity to make one. It came out really nice and beautiful.. It was getting dark out by the time I got dressed for the show so I wasn't able to take a good pic.
Pattern Review (M6083)
Description: Floor length jumpsuit
Fabric Used: Simples Luxuries-Watercolor Multi Modal Blend from Joann Fabric
Pattern Sizing: I cut out a size 4.
Were the Instructions easy to follow? Yes, very easy to follow.
Likes or Dislikes about the Pattern: I like the fact that the pattern is easy to make and alter to fit you perfectly.
Pattern Alterations or Design Changes made: The only alterations I made were in the pants.. I excluded the pockets, removed 1.5 inches from the pants' waistline and 2 inches at the hem of the pants (I'm a shortie. ;)).
Would you Sew it again? Yes!!! I'd like to make it using a different fabric.
Pretty jumpsuit!
