The Serger

Wondering what those stitches that look like the seams on the inside of your garments are? They are called Serged Seams. They are made using a machine called a Serger, which makes your clothes look nice and professionally done on the inside.

Taught Lil Sis to SEW...
5.06.2013
A couple of weeks ago, my sister came to spend her vacation with me. :) It's always nice to see her and hang with her. I miss her so much. Anyway, while she was here I took her to this Nigerian restaurant called Kumaro, she introduced me Scandal, we went fabric shopping at Joann Fabric, and I taught her how to SEW.
While we were at Joann Fabric, she saw this Zebra Print silk chiffon fabric and said she'd like me to make her an infinity scarf. When we got home, I asked her if she'd like to sew it herself and she said "Yes!" with excitement. So, I showed her how to work the machine and fabric. It's amazing how quickly she got it. Well actually I wasn't too surprised because she's a fast learner (it's in our blood). Lol.. Moving on, after she got comfortable with the sewing machine, she was ready to sew her infinity scarfed. She did an awesome job and I'm so proud of her.
