Frankenpattern: Chevron Peplum Top

Vogue Patterns 8815 Top + Simplicity Pattern 1650 Dress

This is the second time I'm using Vogue Pattern 8815 (First Time: Second DIY Aso Ebi I Made) as part of my Frankenpattern, it's so easy/simple to put together. The other pattern I used is the Simplicity Pattern 1650. I made a dress (Think Pink + Black Dress) a while back using S1650. I used V8815 for the bodice and S1650 for the Peplum and Sleeves.

Pattern Review (V8815 + S1650)

Description:
V8815 - Fitted top has raised waist/hemline variations and narrow hem, back zipper.
S1650 - Shift dress in two lengths has scoop neckline with optional notch detail & sleep & peplum options.

Fabric Used: Keepsake Calico Fabric- Green & White Chevron from Joann Fabric. (Here)

Pattern Sizing:
V8815 - I cut size 8 for the bodice.
S1650 - I cut size 4 for the Peplum and size 8 for the sleeves (I wanted more room)

Were the Instructions easy to follow?  I really didn't follow the instructions because I've made several Peplum tops and now know how to put them together, but the instructions for both pattern were pretty easy to follow when I used them the first time.

Likes or Dislikes about the Pattern: I love the pleated high-low peplum.

Pattern Alterations or Design Changes made: No pattern alterations.. Since I used chevron print fabric, I tried my best to match the chevron. When matching chevrons/stripes, make sure to fold in the seam allowance before matching.

Would you Sew it again? Yes, I will.. Looking forward to making it for others too.
